Turning Her Book into a Multi-Million Dollar Cocktail Brand

How to Launch and Test New Products for Your Readers

This is the first official episode of the Beyond the Book podcast.

If you haven’t listened to the intro episode from me on the inspiration behind the podcast and what to expect in future episodes, you can watch it here.

In this first official interview, I sit down with Maggie Beeler to explore how she can turn her book Tropetails into a multi-million dollar cocktail brand (you can check out Tropetails here… it’s an awesome book!).

This episode is inspiring, super informative, and dives deep into the process Maggie will be using to develop, test, and eventually launch her drink mix brand based on her book.

You can watch the episode here or wherever you listen to podcasts (the feed might still be populating… it’s the first day the RSS feed for the podcast is live 😊).

Pretty cool that the first interview of the podcast was also able to be filmed with us both sitting down in person! I’m definitely going to be doing more in-person interviews in the future :).

Now… why were me and Maggie in person, you ask?

You probably weren’t asking… but I’m going to tell you anyways 😂.

Story Suppers & a Roadtrip through the Midwest

Outside of being great friends, me and Maggie also created Story Suppers together.

Story Suppers are meet-ups of writers in a local city for dinner. It’s all about making new friends and learning a ton from incredible people in your local community.

We did the first three suppers in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Cincinnati (Toronto’s had to get canceled because my bus there came 8 hours late 😭).

Here are some pictures from the Suppers:

After our first few Story Suppers, we are excited to do more!

Over the next few months, we are planning to host a few more ourselves as well as with a small group of trusted hosts.

Then the plan is to launch Story Supper Week, where anyone in the world can host a Story Supper and we help bring hundreds of writers together in dozens of cities across the world. It’s going to be a blast!

So… it’s time to take Story Suppers from a thing me and Maggie led into something that every writer can lead. Power to the Storytellers as always!

You can join the waitlist here to be alerted when a Story Supper is coming to your city.

During this whole adventure, Maggie was kind enough to host me (I’m a professional vagabond at this point haha).

We chatted a ton about her business and ended up landing on the ultimate plan to help her quit her day job.

That’s where this podcast episode Turning Her Book into a Multi-Million Dollar Cocktail Brand was born. It’s all about helping Maggie scale something in her business she’s already found success to the tune of $10,000+ and turning it into something that can make hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars per year.

I hope you enjoyed listening to our chat. Shout out a huge thank you to Maggie in the comments for being so brave and open with us.

The author community really is the best in the world. And I’m so grateful for you all.

Together we will change the world for the better by putting our Readers First.

Remember, you can listen to the latest episode of Beyond the Book with Maggie on YouTube here or on your favorite podcast player above.

I’ll be back on Friday with the launch of Authoropolis, a fun, free community for indie authors.

In the meantime, don’t forget…

Together we are boundless,

Michael Evans
